The Climate Innovation Summit will set the scene for the mobilisation of the global finance sector to take action on climate change. Throughout the three-day event we will be exploring the pioneering solutions and partnerships that are driving sustainable finance and putting Europe on track to deliver a climate-resilient future.
Among the highlights will be the launch of the European hub of the UN’s Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) network, initiated by Paschal Donohoe, Minister for Finance, Ireland. A new pan-European framework to help investors identify system solutions with significant potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will also be announced.
Engage with decision makers, take part in high-level dialogues, network and discover new bankable low-carbon projects with real potential to transform the way you do finance.
The Climate Innovation Summit is a melting pot of expertise, sectors and skills, perspectives and solutions. We leverage this professional diversity to create the serendipitous connections needed for systemic transformation.

How was it last year?
Last year’s summit, hosted by the City of Milan, brought together almost 400 participants for high-level discussions around the theme “Cities, Levers of Change”. During two days, urban decision makers, policymakers, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and business leaders met to co-create the blueprints for an inclusive, zero-carbon society. The summit was endorsed by COP23, the UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, and included the launch of the “Reinventing Cities” initiative, an unprecedented global competition organized with the C40 to drive carbon neutral and resilient urban regeneration.
